It’s dramatic, moody, and built to impress, yet inside you’ll find playful surprises: raise-and-lower prisons, Orc dining halls (meat is back on the menu!), hidden maps behind the throne, and a library high above. The minifig lineup is top notch—featuring the very first LEGO Sauron, a newly moulded Gollum, Gothmog, and more. Yes, the build involves repetition and the upper floors get a little tight to reach, and black bricks love fingerprints, but that’s a small price to pay when the final effect is so commanding.
